Travis Rice, Baldface Mountain, and Red Bull are putting on the next level of snowboard competitions. Taking on what they learned from the Natural Selection series several years ago at Jackson Hole, the have been working in the mountains of B.C. to bring forth the next level in progression. The main idea is to bring the two main influential groups of snowboarders (competition riders and video riders) together so that the two can teach and learn from one another to bring forth the most well rounded snowboarders on the planet. With over 100 wooden features such as kickers, man-made towers to hold snow for pillow lines, and even ladder sections suspended into the trees, this looks to be one of the wildest competitions out there.

This spring Pathfinder of West Virginia has been excited to offer Osprey's full line of amazing backpacks. The Atmos 50 and the Aura 50 are two packs within their line that have really impressed me with their ability to have the best of both worlds, weight and comfort. Both of these packs carry heavier loads up to the 40-45 pound range comfortably but are still light enough to be considered in the lightweight options that we already carry from Lowe Alpine and Granite Gear. With plenty of pockets and a frame that sports a newer trampoline air system. These packs are without a doubt the missing link in your backpacking arsenal. Not to mention that they both come in $20-$40 lower than the competition at $199.99!

"The Atmos 50 provides the ideal volume for your next superlight backpacking experience. At 3000 cubic inches and with an average weight of 3.5 lbs / 1.5 kg, you can carry your superlight essentials with ease and comfort. A traditional floating top pocket/top load design and twin front pockets with welded water resistant zips makes loading easy. Other features include an internal hydration sleeve, zippered mesh pockets on the hipbelt and removable sleeping pad straps."

Oakley has released only a handful of these guys worldwide,  and with four different colors to choose from there is something for everyone. If you think these frames look good against a white background just wait until you go into the sunlight with them. Limited Edition with only several pairs left.

Enjoy!

Our Whitewater section is finally finished now that our shipment of Shred Ready helmets has arrived. With new gear for Immersion Research, Astral, WaveSport, Dagger, Werner, and now Shred Ready we are set for the season. Just in time for the Cheat Festival next weekend! So if you're passing through and looking for some new gear to take down with you, stop on by!

Shred Ready Super Scrappy: $69.99
- Style, Comfort, Protection, Adjustability, and Price, These are the five reasons you should buy this helmet over anything else out there. It's very hard to find a WhiteWater helmet that is fully adjustable and offers superior protection in the $70 range.

Shred Ready Standard Half Cut: $69.99
-Lightweight and comfortable, this helmet also has more coverage than the minimalist Super Scrappy. Fully Adjustable twist lock system in the back (H.O.G. Lock Retention System) allows for comfort and adjustability on the river.

Shred Ready Shaggy Kevlar: $139.99
- Similar to the Super Scrappy in design, but built to last the test of time. The Shaggy is a Kevlar helmet that provides bomb-proof material, with comfortable and adjustability. Probably regarded as one of the best Kevlar designs out there, this helmet is only $140.

Shred Ready Shaggy Deluxe Carbon/Kevlar: $199.99
- For the diehard boater, spending lots of time on the river. This helmet is light, comfortable, and amazingly strong. All these things are possible by the superlight Carbon/Kevlar design that makes up this helmet. The same fit as the Kevlar Shaggy, just lighter and more durable.

Also in Shred Ready Tsunami Elbow Pads:

So I know its been a while, and I'm sorry. But the good news is that the reason why this hasn't been updated in a while is because we have a whole store full of new amazing gear for the Spring/Summer. We have expanded our current brands and filled the store with some pretty exciting things. To kick off this new influx of gear, I wanted to start with some of the more exciting stuff. Check it out!

These GSI Cooksets and Accessories are insane! Lighter and more compact than anything out there for the price, they blow the doors off just about everything else on the market. The Dualist system allows you to have two cups (w/ sip lids), two bowls, two sporks, a cooking pot with draining lid, and also all the gear included in this system nests into itself with a stove for a size that is smaller than a Nalgene bottle! The Ketalist allows for super quick solo travel where boiling water for dehydrated food is a must. This ultralight system is inexpensive at $34.99 and still allows the user to have cups and bowls and a nesting feature. Last but not least is the new Spice Missile! This thing can carry up two 6 different spices and is super portable!

Glacier Stainless Dualist:

Crushproof lid made of Glacier Stainless steel prevents deformation of your pot/lid and includes an integrated strainer. Convenient folding handle locks into place for cooking and secures entire set for transport, eliminating the need for a stuff sack. Unique bowl + mug solution with low center of gravity and Sip-It virtually eliminates spills while the integrated insulating sleeve keeps your drinks hot. Ingenious, welded stuff sack holds set while traveling and doubles as a sink or wash basin in camp.

Halulite Kettalist:

Classic, low-profile design provides the capacity of a 1 liter ultralight boiler in the easy-to-pour profile of a tea kettle for boiling water or melting snow on solo adventures. Convenient folding handle locks into place when boiling to save your finger tips from burns. Unique bowl + mug solution with low center of gravity and Sip-It lid virtually eliminate spills while the insulating sleeve keeps your drinks hot. Stuff sack’s nylon bottom panel and short sides help to keep soot and char off your clothes and other gear.

Spice Missile:

Waterproof caps and shaker modules screw together to keep spices dry and flavorful Twin compartment shakers include single sided dispensing screens which twist into position and remove easily for cleaning Convenient filler cap stores below the base and makes it easy to refill any of the compartments Clever modular design is infinitely expandable to carry any number of spices Clear copolyester resin body is lightweight, clear and resilient

So this last year saw some pretty awesome improvements to the DC Boot lineup. All of the boots got a makeover and were slimmed down, made more comfortable, and were based around 1:1 last to liner ratios improving the fit. The three main boots that you saw this in were the Judge, the Park Boot, and the introduction of a new boot called the Ceptor.

The Judge has been an industry standard for years being one of the first double Boa boots to fit and give proper adjustment where you need it.

The Park Boot has also been around for years, but it really wasn't until this year that it got a complete make-over. The biggest thing with the Park Boot is the use of a new liner that drastically improves the amount of mobility you have while in the boot.

The liner was cut down to the size of a small bootie that looks like a low top shoe. This liner is pretty different and follows a trend with some others in the industry to give to rider a looser feel when in the park or just cruising around the mountain.

The Ceptor on the other hand gives the rider a much stiffer feel and is the perfect boot for all mountain park riding. Where as the Judge may be too stiff for some and the Park Boot can be too soft, the Ceptor is just right. This boot does everything really well, and it has a great flex point. The best part about the Ceptor though is the amount of comfort it has. The new Unilite Outsole, Outlast Liner, and the introduction of a new liner and boot combo that actually breaths out through the two layers in a technology called AeroTech.
